The ‘environmental-free’ Microseal Switch is designed to operate at altitudes up to 18,000m. (60,000 ft.) in ambient temperatures ranging from -75ºC to +70ºC.

Complete sealing of the Microseal switch is achieved by glass/metal seals between the switch tray and the terminal associated P.T.F.E scrapper ring in the plunger mechanism. The stainless-steel plunger is specially finished to ensure prolonged efficiency of the dynamic ‘O’ ring seal.

The switch action provides a heavy duty double-pole changeover contact arrangement. A rocker carries the moving contact between two permanent magnets to provide a positive ‘snap’ action. A unique feature of this design is that contact pressure increases up to the moment of changeover, thus reducing the tendency to arcing, normally associated with low contact pressures at this point. Six 6 B.A terminals are arranged in a high grade thermosetting plastic terminal block and are protected by a synthetic rubber grommet.
