Description

The Dedicated Warning Panel (DWP) is a highly reliable LED display panel used to provide warning, advisory and caution information to the pilot. The display is sunlight readable and NVIS Type II, Class B, compatible. The three types of status information when activated are shown on 7 Red, 8 Amber and 9 Green captions. The 24 captions are designed to meet the following parameters:-

The LED captions are dimmable via a control-input signal. In order to achieve a high level of reliability and removal of single point failures the technology employs a discrete logic design approach. The DWP interfaces with various warnings, cautions and advisory signals in the format: - open circuit (fail) or ground (good). The DWP also provides control outputs to two attention getters and provision of discrete signals to the audio management unit.

A lamp test facility is provided along with a Day/Night lighting level control. The captions have been designed to be easily re-configured enabling various variants of the display to be manufactured.
