Description

The high performance Advanced Conduit System type D offered by Ultra Electronics Electrics Division is based on the ACS system, but was originally developed for Airbus landing gear applications. It provides excellent protection of wiring harnesses against EMI and harsh environmental conditions. The system uses the unique Tinel Lock™ heat shrink metal ring, which replaces the traditional swaged sleeves used by other systems. The Tinel Lock™ system offers considerable savings in weight and an increase in reliability and screening effectiveness.

A key feature of the system is that, unlike swaged designs, it is re-enterable without causing damage or disruption to the harness.
