Description

The ISTD concept has been carefully engineered to provide a simple, reliable mechanism for the termination of screened conductors whilst maintaining a compact space envelope and allowing electrical bonding checks before final assembly.

Ultra Electronics Inner Screen Termination Device provides a simple method of terminating screened conductors to backshells including those within conduit systems.

This eliminates the need to pass ‘screen wires’ through electrical connectors and avoids the associated problem of re-radiation.

Conductor screens are terminated to an inner ring, which makes electrical contact to the backshell to provide a grounding path.

A key advantage of the system is the ability to check screen-bonding paths, visually and electrically, before final assembly.
