Description

The CANbus Interface PCB is designed to provide a solution for interfacing signals to CAN, RS232 or RS422/RS485 networks.

The PCB uses a Motorola 68HC12 microprocessor and is programmed in ‘C’. The easily expandable I/O architecture allows most customer requirements to be met. Using proven design philosophies, the interface PCB is designed to meet all the relevant EMC (to Def Stan 59-41), EMP and temperature requirements necessary for defence applications.

• 24 switch inputs, de-bounced and conditioned for silver or gold plated switch contacts
• 2 analogue inputs at 14 bit resolution
• 2 force transducer inputs at 14 bit resolution ("Law-shaped" conditioning, Auto nulling)
• Galvanically isolated CAN 2.0B interface, supports MilCAN, CANopen, J1939 and other Higher Layer Protocols. Alternative RS422/RS485 interface available
• Galvanically isolated RS232 interface supporting full duplex communication
• Additional inputs, outputs and serial interfaces are available upon customer request
• Built In Test capability
